ImageShack pwned by Anti-Sec. Anti-Sec is a movement dedicated to the eradication of full-disclosure. "The security industry uses full-disclosure to profit and develop scare-tactics to convince people into buying their firewalls, anti-virus software, and auditing services." http://romeo.copyandpaste.info/txt/imageshack-pwned.txt "no images were harmed in the making of this... image" means Anti-Sec did not delete ImageShack images uploaded by their users. ImageShack was warned about their security wholes but they chose to ignore Anti-Sec, as many companies do ignore people who expose security vulnerabilities to them. These people then are forced to full-disclosure, posting their exploits for everyone to see, thus forcing companies to fix the problem. These full-disclosures are later picked up by the so called "securityi" companies and sold to the regular public as "fixes" in products such as firewalls, anti-virus, and auditing. These so called "security" companies actually have no skill in providing real security, and are just selling information they got for free via scare tactics. This incident comes after Anti-Sec pwnd SSANZ. SSANZ is selling Server Management for $25, Security and Hardening for $50, Server Security for $50, and Emergency Server Recovery for $150, effectively scamming people for things they don't have the skill to do. Anti-Sec promised to pwn everybody else who proffits from full-disclosure. http://romeo.copyandpaste.info/
